New Chelsea signing, Kalidou Koulibaly, has been handed the #26 Jersey ahead of the new English Premier League (EPL) season.
This comes after the Senegalese defender put a phone call accross to the previous holder of the shirt number–Chelsea Legend, John Terry.
In the video Koulibaly could be seen respectfully asking Terry’s permission to don the legendary shirt number.
Terry, in turn, happily obliged the request of the former Napoli strong man and gave his blessings.
This gesture went down well among members of the Chelsea fan base–who showered praises on the no-nonsense defender for his act.

The #26 Jersey had been worn by former Club Captain and Legend, John Terry, for many trophy-laden years.
Many now hope that the shirt number transition will spell good fortunes for the Senegalese as he looks to begin life in London.
