The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Maxi Nnamdi Kanu, has called got “peace and calm” in Biafra.
He made this plea while appearing at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday.
According to the activist, who spoke on camera, “I want our people to be calm and peaceful.”
“I want Biafra land to be very very calm and peaceful,” he urged Biafrans.
The activist also warned Biafrans against any form of self-killing or bloodshed.
“We are fighting to defend our people and not to kill them and that’s why I am here,” Kanu went on.
The Ipob leader had sought the court for a bail application, which was dismissed.
When asked about his reaction towards the court’s verdict, he simply gave an assured reply.
“I am not disappointed; it is what we expect,” the popular leader said.
