The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Saturday, arrested some members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), over sharp practices during the ongoing Ekiti state elections.
The APC members were arrested by the anti-graft agency on the grounds of votes buying.
The arrests were conducted concurrently all through the state, with one of the party’s agents arrested at a polling unit in Ola Oluwa Grammar School, Ado Ekiti.
Sources on ground reveal that the APC members have been going about attempting to bribe voters in a bid to secure their votes for the party’s candidates in the state.
Upon receiving such vital information, the EFCC swung into action, arresting those members of the party engaged in the alleged votes buying.
