A Primary School in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State was bombed on Tuesday afternoon.
Multiple sources confirm that the bombing was carried out by a daredevil suicide bomber.
The affected primary school is situated in an area of the state that is populated with non-indigenes.
A large number of the school pupils are said to be Christians.
Many were confirmed injured after the bombing, however, there is no official confirmation of the number of deaths recorded.
Muslims in the state have countered suggestions that this was a religious attack, while claiming the incident was merely a “gas explosion.”
There has been no official statement from the authorities regarding this bombing as at press time.
The latest incident comes on the backdrop of the brutal lynching of a Sokoto Tertiary student, Deborah.
