Chelsea FC are set to up their offer for Defender, Wesley Fofana, to £75million.
Sources confirmed, on Thursday, that this could be the breakthrough needed to remedy this protracted transfer saga.
The structure of add-ons in the deal is still being decided, though.
Sources say Chelsea are pushing ahead in the deal through intermediaries.
The same sources inform us that Leicester City are waiting to receive Chelsea’s latest bid for the Frenchman.
The situation has become worrisome for Leicester as the defender is adamant that the deal pulls through.
Fofana missed his club’s training session last week in a statement to Leicester that he was disappointed at their high valuation and perceived reluctance to let him fulfill his “dream move.”

Fofana has already missed his club’s last English Premier League match, a home loss to Southampton, and has been demoted to train with the Development Squad.
He is also out of Leicester’s squad to face Chelsea away this coming Saturday.
Leicester had previously insisted that only a club record bid for a defender, in excess of £80million, will make them reconsider their “not for sale” stance.
Chelsea has apparently called their bluff and do not feel they need to pay exorbitant amounts to procure the defender.
The feeling in all camps is that the anticipated bid from Chelsea should be enough to break the ice and force Leicester to bulge in their initial asking fee.
