England Releases Squad For UEFA Nations League Fixtures

The England Men’s Football National Team has announced their squad for the forthcoming UEFA Nations League matches.

Head Coach, Gareth Southgate released the squad list on Thursday afternoon.

First choice Goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, misses out after picking up an injury for his club side, Everton FC.

The list has sparked some controversy after some players were selected over others.

Arsenal’s Ben White is one name that is surprisingly left out despite his impressive displays for his London club.

Harry Maguire, on the other hand, who has, since, been dropped to the Manchester United bench by new Manager, Erik Ten Hag, has, somehow, crept into the England squad.

England take on Italy on Friday, September 23 and Germany on Monday, September 26.

England’s Squad List:

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Nick Pope, Aaron Ramsdale

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Chilwell, Conor Coady, Eric Dier, Marc Guehi, Reece James, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Fikayo Tomori, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker.
