The Blues have been locked in negotiations for Barcelona forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for days now.
Barcelona are holding out for €30million for their striker, while Chelsea are only prepared to part with £15million for the 33yr old.
While Coach, Thomas Tuchel, prefers Aubameyang, Chelsea Co-Owner, Todd Boehly, heavily prefers Cristiano Ronaldo.
Boehly has, thus, communicated to Tuchel that, should Chelsea fail to lure Aubameyang to Stamford Bridge, he will immediately snap up Ronaldo from United.
Ronaldo is believed to be disillusioned with life at Old Trafford after United failed to bag a spot in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
His agent Jorge Mendes, has been in close communication with Todd Boehly, only for the new Chelsea Supremo to pull the plug on the deal due to Tuchel’s reluctance to play along.
Ronaldo is deemed by Boehly as a cheaper and better alternative to Aubameyang.
Sources confirm that a bid worth €18million will be enough to price Ronaldo away from Old Trafford.
