Abacha Loot: Britain Recovers Additional $23milion

The Government of the United Kingdom (UK), today, discovered another $23million Abacha loot.

This recovery was made by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA), the country said.

The said loot are monies stolen from Nigeria by the country’s late military dictator, General Sani Abacha.

The process of returning the said loot will commence after due process is followed.

Over the years, Abacha loots have been recovered by countries like Switzerland, Britain among others, with such monies returned to Nigeria afterwards.

General Sani Abacha was the erstwhile Military dictator of Nigeria who died in 1998, after which the country returned to democracy a year later.
